This firm -- inspired by the work and ethics
of court reporter Edward Newlander ~ and his sister, fellow Gregg
writer Sylvia Woll; and Elissa Newlander, his loving wife of
65 years ~ remains dedicated to the principles for which he and
they stand and stood. Among them are life, liberty, and the pursuit
of justice. Dad was in the first class of Offical Court Reporters,
starting in the USDC, CD.Ill.; Chicago.
Toward that end, resources of the firm have
been committed to furthering the notion that what we as reporters
do is a sacred act upon which The Public, the bench, and members
of the Bar are entitled to rely. When words cease to have meaning,
civil discourse becomes impossible. It is not for us to ascribe
meaning; rather, ours is faithfully to record so that others
may understand.
